CNC TURNING
Epic Machine specializes in CNC turning with a bar feed up to 2-3/4 inch diameter.
We can CNC turn with a chuck up to 10 inch diameter. Epic has five Okuma turning centers
that range in size and capabilities. We additionally specialize in hard boring and hard
turning on our CNC turning centers. We turn all grades of low to medium carbon, all alloy
steels, tool steels, H-13, aluminum, nylon, all grades of stainless steel, brass, bronze
and coppers. We can hard turn heat treated materials up to 65 Rc.
CNC MILLING
Epic Machine also has CNC milling centers that have a 40 x 20 machining window.
We mill all grades of low to medium carbon, all alloy steels, tool steels, H-13, aluminum,
nylon, all grades of stainless steel, brass, bronze and coppers. We have a specialty in
hard milling heat treated materials up to 65 Rc.
PRECISION GRINDING
Epic Machine has a full in house grind room that we can OD Grind, Centerless Grind and Surface Grind.
OTHER CAPABILITIES
We have a full line up of Bridgeports, Single Head Programmable Mills, HEM Production Band Saw,
Manual Band Saws and Manual Lathes.
We have a full welding and fabrication area along with a paint booth in house.
Epic Machine has two 50 ton C style presses.
Epic Machine is a climate controlled shop.
KNOWLEDGE
The staff at Epic Machine has a very lengthy knowledge base on materials, heat treat processes,
machining procedures, nitriding and coatings such as chrome, nickel, nitro-wear and armor clad.
